Kelly Irish / Operations Manager
Kelly began her career in Health Care over 15 years ago. Throughout her career she has served in numerous positions including Consultant, Business Director, and CORE certified Executive Director in Assisted Living Facilities around Florida. She has also served as the Vice President of Meals on Wheels, as board member of Mainstream Zephyrhills, as well as an Ambassador for the local Chamber of Commerce. She became nationally certified as a CPR instructor, and is a Florida certificate Alzheimer Trainer.
Kelly brings a unique understanding of the Florida Assisted Living programs to Silver Wings Care Management. She has cared for of her own family members in facilities she has managed. She likes to explain it by saying “I have sat on both sides of the ‘desk’. I understand the grief and loss that family experiences, the needs of the resident, as well as the rights afforded them by the State of Florida. I also understand the constraints of the ALF, and how they can best serve the client.” Her favorite part of her job has always been the relationship she has nurtured with the client and their family members.
Approximately 10 years ago, Kelly was faced with a resident who had been financially exploited. She reached out to the healthcare community for advice, and was introduced to the services of Silver Wings Care management. The rest is history!
In addition to healthcare, Kelly is passionate about animal welfare. She became certified as an Animal Control Officer, and over the years has rescued and re-homed dozens of pets including dogs, birds, and reptiles. She has also opened her home to Hospice pets, for a safe and peaceful place to go for the end stages of their life.
She currently has 4 dogs of her own, who are undergoing the certification to become therapy dogs at Moffit Cancer Center.
